About

Light your nervous system was wired for.

The light we lost

For a hundred years, homes glowed with incandescent light — warm, full-spectrum, rich in the infrared and free of blue. It was the light our bodies grew up with: the light of firesides and lamps, of winding down as the sun went down. Then it quietly disappeared. Efficient blue-white LEDs took its place, and with them came a light that keeps our bodies subtly switched on — alert, wired, never quite at rest.

Why it matters

Modern research keeps pointing at the same thing: the light around us is a signal our nervous system is always reading. Bright, blue-heavy light tells the body it's daytime, that it should stay alert. Warm, low-blue light does the opposite — it's the signal to settle, restore, and rest. We spend our evenings bathed in exactly the wrong kind.

This is the heart of neurowellness, one of the defining wellness ideas of our time: that calming the nervous system isn't just about what we do, but about the environment we live in. And light is the most constant part of that environment.

What Longwave makes

Longwave makes real incandescent light — the warm end of the spectrum, infrared-rich, blue-free, and flicker-free. Not a gadget you wear or a routine you have to keep, but simply the right light, in the rooms where you already live. Screw it in, and the environment does the work.

We named ourselves for the long-wavelength end of the spectrum — the warm reds and ambers and infrareds that the sun gives generously and modern light strips away. It's the light your body remembers. It's the light your nervous system was wired for.
